GuRU is a comprehensive offline educational application dedicated to the teaching of single-shot and continuous peripheral nerve blocks. All instructional videos and information are accessible within the app without requiring an internet connection, although internet access is necessary for accessing external links and tertiary video content.

The platform offers an innovative integration of live sonoanatomy through ultrasound imaging, 3D animated anatomical representations, and real-time video demonstrations of regional anaesthetic nerve blocks. These elements are synchronized with clear audio narration, providing a cohesive learning experience.

Features include full-length offline demonstrations of various regional anaesthetic techniques, and a detailed guide to the Pajunk E-Cath system—including setup, insertion, and fixation procedures. The app also offers interactive 3D animated models linked directly with live ultrasound scans and video recordings, as well as synchronized ultrasound and camera nerve mapping scans.

Users can observe an entire nerve block procedure from initiation to completion, accompanied by expert narration. The app functions as a valuable resource for tips and best practices, many of which would have been beneficial to have at the outset of ultrasound training.
